Camp Grounds On Flathead Lake. Poison, June 28. (Special) Sunday afternoon brought to a close one of the most successful camp weeks ever held by the Poison Girl Scout troops. Camp was made and held at the Knights of Columbus grounds on Skidoo bay, during the week of June 19 to June 26, inclusive, and it is the opinion of the board of camp directors that more was accomplished this year than ever before. A large amount of handiwork was done, which will be placed on display here soon.

New York, June 28. UP) Stocks swung about erratically today, changing their trend with the dividend news as it came from several Important directors' meetings. The result appeared to be a standoff, for the 90 share composite closed unchanged, although rail averages dipped into new low ground. Aside from dividend announcements, little occurred to govern the market's course. -There was another selection of poor railroad earnings statements covering May operations, which was not entirely offset by the better movement of revenue freight in the week ended June 18.

Omission of Santa Fc's quarterly disbursement on its common shares, taking them off a paying basis for the first time since 1900, was nonetheless unpleasant because it had been expected. What the market had gained from Allied Chemical's "regular" was more than lost when the news from this important carrier came out; but prices rallied again when American Can surprised Wall street by voting the usual payment quarterly of $1. Norfolk Western reduced to an $8 basis from $10. The day's transactions totaled 129,745 shares. whom were Girl Scouts.

UP) Anxiety over meagerness of arrivals of r.ew-ly-harvested wheat gave a brisk upturn to wheat values in the late dealings today.

Enlarged speculative buying on dips in prices resulted atso from belief that good weather Southwest was now imperative to prevent further losses from rains, aa wheat was reported dead ripe in many sections. Special attention, too, was given the fact that so far this season Galveston has received very little grain, although harvesting in Texas has been on for several weeks. Wheat closed firm at virtually the day's top, r'; cent above yesterday's finish; corn, unchanged to cent higher; oats, 14 cent off, and provisions at 7 to 12 cents advance. Corn, oats and rye were helped by wheat rallies and by the most active shipping demand for com in some time. Charters were made for vessel-room to take 355,000 bushels of corn to Eastern lake ports.

Meanwhile, oats and rye were decidedly weak at intervals, July oats touching the ldWest price since 1897 and July rye the lowest since 1884, a result of scattered liquidation. Provisions advanced with hog values. Day's range In prices: in military order. Discussions, with no actual results visible, were undertaken last night over the possibility of linking Tammany's votes, those of New Jersey and other Alfred E. Smith states, behind Governor Ritchie of The idea was that John F. Curry, Tammany leader, although still maintaining neutrality, was becoming doubtful of Roosevelt's victory chances, and was therefore receptive to plans for another candidate. However, in delegate conversations it is assumed to be certain that if Roosevelt forces fail to win they will at least pull down any candidate picked by Smith. The theory, or rather the gossip, is that then the Smith delegations would swing to the generally unopposed Newton D.
