8 Missoulian, Monday, June 20, 1988 OBITUARIES Lois I. Melton Hilda E. Meadows Herman B. Wlppllnger Survivors include her husband, Leon, Hot Springs; a son, Neal, Wyoming; a daughter, Nadine Magera, Hot Springs; five sisters: Ella Way-lett, Missoula; Inez Carr, Hot Springs; Melva Hansen, Whitefish; Edna Hooly, Canby, and Mina Albert, Poison; a brother, Lloyd Mullins, Kalispell; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. MOIESE Herman B.

Wipplin-ger, 37, died of cancer at his home in Moiese on Saturday, June 18. He was born July 22, 1930, in Missoula to Anna and Fred Wipplin-ger. He was raised in Dixon and graduated from high school there. On Sept. 17, 1950, he married Lillian Burgess in Plains.

He was as an iron worker on Hungry Horse Dam and later worked on bridges, satellite towers, the Seattle Space Needle and missile bases in Montana, Idaho, Washington and Alaska. He and his wife operated Wipplinger Homes in Everett, building custom homes for 16 years. Survivors include his wife, Lillian, v. HOT SPRINGS Lois Irene Melton, 65, of Hot Springs, died of cancer Saturday, June 18, at St. Luke Community Hospital in Ronan.

'-She was born Aug. 22, 1922, in Round Butte west of Ronan to E.P. and Millie Mullins. She was raised 'and educated in Round Butte and Ronan. On Feb.

12, 1938, she married Melton in Kalispell. Mrs. Melton was a member of the Anemone Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and Montana Cowbelles. She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter, and a sister, Carlotta Sloan. and growing house plants.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, two infant daughters, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include three sons: Robert P. Hall, Chattanooga; William C. Hall, Brazil; and James E. Meadows, Denver; a daughter, Shirley Patterson, Poison; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Charlo with the Rev. Wil-bur Whanger and the Rev. George Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Ronan under the direction of Shrider's Mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Fund or the Red Cross swimming program. and a son, Douglas, both of Moiese; two daughers, Loretta Hammond, Columbia, S.C., and Leanne Talbott, Moiese; a brother, Fritz, Dixon; five sisters: Ann Brady, Moiese; Virginia McAllister, Kirkwood, Ruth Henry, Buckley, Martha Velie, Minneapolis; and June Thompson, Helena; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John and Andro, Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Monday at Coffelt-Bunch Funeral Chapel in Plains. Funeral services will be 2 p.m.

Tuesday at the funeral chapel with burial at Plains Cemetery. CHARLO Hilda E. Meadows, 75, of Charlo, died of natural causes Saturday, June 18, at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula. She was born Feb.

3, 1913, in Chattanooga, to Robert and Mary Starkey. She was raised and educated in Tennessee, North Carolina and Alabama. She married Robert P. Hall. He preceded her in death.

On Jan. 20, 1951, she married Ruben Meadows. They moved to Charlo in 1955. Mrs. Meadows was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and active in the Charlo P.T.A.

and Red Cross swimming program. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Ronan with the Rev. Wilbur Whanger and the Rev. George Sanders officiating.
