Missoulian, Tuesday, December 9, 1997 B3 MONTANA i Twlll Albert K. Harris ST. IGNATIUS Albert Keif Harris, 93, passed away Dec, 6 at St. Luke's Community Hospital in Ronan. He was born Dec, II.

1903, in Lovell, Big Horn County, the youngest of six children born to William Orson and Anna Connelly Harris. Bert's father died when Bert was 3 years old, leaving his mother a widow on the turn-of-the-ecntury Wyoming frontier. i As a small boy he was raised in Los Angeles. For many years Bert Harris was a seaman and saw many diverse parts of the world. At ports when other sailors visited the taverns, Bert sought out the public libraries and enlightened his mind with knowledge.

Bert was preceded in death by one brother, four sisters, daughters Barbara and Lorna and son Joseph. He leaves a loving wife Pauline and a large family of children: Albert, William, John. Gilbert, Donald, Larry. Susie, Mary Ellen, Jessie, Martha, Joyce, Mylene, Marlene and Kathy. He also, is survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He leaves many friends and neighbors who were better for knowing him during the past 22 years he and Pauline lived in St. Ignatius. Albert was a loving husband and father and friend to all he met. A Scou' leader for many years, he loved his Scouts and they loved him. Bert had a special handshake he taught everyone in the community, especially the children.

That handshake and his love of music will be remembered for many generations. Viewing will be Tuesday, Dec. 9. at Mission Valley Funeral Chapel in St. Ignatius.

Services will be I p.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in St. Ignatius. Bishop Alan W. Mikkelsen will conduct the services.

Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in St. Ignatius. Sonja Mowat Sonja Mowat, 58, beloved daughter, mother, grandmother and sister, went to a happier place on Dec. 6, 1997. One of her legacies to the world was raising four beautiful, independent, loving, responsible children who will pass on the wonderful characteristics of their mother throughout future generations, She was so giving, kind and caring.

She always put her children first in any situation. From the first day of parenthood, the happiness of her children was her priority. She would do anything if it would make her kids happy. She was a wonderful mother. Her children were proud to have her as a mother and their best friend.

Her life was cut too short, but all the love she gave will lust forever. Her father preceded her in death. She is survived by her devoted mother Abbie Maust; her sorrow-filled children Teresa Ackcrman, Denise Gurtler, David Gurtlcr and Tami Gurtler; her sister Sandra Dowling; four wonderful grandchildren, Grant, Danielle, Megan and Dante; and her faithful and funny friends Kid and Koka. In her memory: When I must leave you for a little while, Please do not grieve and shed wild tears, And hug your sorrow to you through the years, But start out bravely with a gallant smile, And for my sake and in my name. Live on and do all things the same, Feed not your loneliness on empty days.

But fill each waking hour in useful ways. Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer. And in turn, will comfort you and hold you near, And never, never be afraid to die, For I am waiting for you in the sky! Helen Steiner Rice William 'Bill' L.
