29, 1905 in Liberty, Mo, He went to Kansas City, with his mother in 1909 and moved to Missoula in 1949. He served in Africa and Italy during the Second World War. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Cora Jeffries and an aunt, Mrs. Fay Green, both of Missoula, and several cousins.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Squire-Simmons-Carr Rose Chapel. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Lawrence L. Gruman officiating.

He was born Jan. 17, 1887 In Wausau, Wis. He moved to Brook-side, In the Bitter Root Valley, in 1915 where he homesteaded. He also homesteaded in Dodson in 1935.

He moved to Lolo in 1945 where he worked as a ranchhand until his death. He married Clara Boettcher in 1910, and she died in 1945. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Harvey Sorkness, Priest River, Idaho; Mrs. Kenneth Olson, Spokane, and Mrs.

Willard Parker, Yuba City, two sons, Walter and Lawrence, both of Cut Bank; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Cline, Bell, and Sister Superior Agnes of Milwaukee, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
