I BllSineSS Developments In Western Montana Mobile Home Village Expanding Rapid growth in use of mobile homes has led El-Mar T. I I 1 it ft Trailer Village to undertake an expansion program, with Tom Frame Joining his brother, Elmer Frame, in its operation. I The pair purchased 30 acres of land on the south of the present village from Al D'Orazi. Already they have built roads through the addition, natural gas and elec tricity have been Installed for 41 spaces, nine spaces have been completed and of them eight are occupied.

Angel to Represent Insurance Firm Howard R. Angel 4203 Larkspur has been appointed special representative in Missoula of the Washington National Insurance Firm of Evanston, 111. He will be associated with the Lawrence A. Chargin Agency, headquartered in Great Falls. For the past three years Angel has been employed by Buttreys Foods.

Currently, he is treasurer of the Missoula Junior Chamber of Commerce. As a sideline, Angel, who belongs to the International Brotherhood of Magicians, has entertained all over Montana with feats of magic and mental telepathy. Angel and his wife, Gine, have a son, Chris. Olsen Purchases Clothing Store ST. IGNATIUS Sale of the Wolcott Clothing Store here has been announced, bought by Archie Olsen, who also owns the Gambles store.

The buildings are adjoining, and a connecting passage will be installed. Manager will be Gladys Diedrich, who has been associated with Walcott for the past fy'2 years. I 1 fan If demand continues to grow, the Frames plan to build 54 spaces for 10 and 12-foot wide mobile homes, 14 spaces for double-wide and expanding mobile homes, 40 "pull-through" spaces for overnight travel trailers, and a campground to accommodate 25 tents this year. Tent spaces will have picnic tables, barbecue grills and water at convenient locations.

These new spaces will handle, mobile homes up to 12 by 65 feet, according to the Frames. They said the 14 spaces for double-wide mobile homes are an innovation in the Missoula area. Elmer Frame worked for the U.S. Bureau of Public Roads as a highway construction engineer from 1948 to 1956. He still does engineering work locally and has the bus transportation contract to Hell Gate School.

Tom Frame was superintendent for Naranche Konda Construction Co. of Butte from 1962 to 1965, coming here from a project out of Dillon. He worked for Rocky Mountain Construction Co. of Missoula from 1958 to 1961, and for Montana Power Co. here during mink 1 1 4 'WWW i.

Telstar Model to Be Shown in Trailer "Communications Unlimited," Mountain States Telephone's big new display trailer, will be parked in the Trempers Shopping Center Tuesday and Wednesday. The trailer will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to W. D. Hancock, district manager for the firm.

One of the displays is a miniature model of the Bell system's Telstar communications satellite. The activated model shows how messages can be beamed from a ground station to a satellite and back to earth again. Also displayed are such items as communications via microwave and undersea cable. Thompson Falls Car Dealer Remodeling THOMPSON FALLS A major remodeling program, to be undertaken in two stages, has been started by Heater Heater, pioneer Thompson Falls Ford dealer. Turk Cabinet Shop has the contract for the project.

Richard C. Heater said that a new parts room and a new office, along with a storage room in the attic, will be provided. The new parts room will make possible additional showroom space so that the firm will able to display two vehicles. The office will be located In space presently occupied by the parts department. The stairway to the basement under the showroom Is being shifted as a safety measure.

Heinrich 1927, in Glendive, graduated from Dawson County High School in 1945. During 1945-46 he was in the Navy. Whitefish Shoe Store Is Being Moved WHITEFISH Another expanding business in White- Now in its final stages is an expansion and modernization program that will make the Club Chateau, five miles east, as handsome a supper club as exists in Montana and surrounding area. This week attention -will be focused on the exterior, especial-ly the front, which is being converted into a Swiss chalet appearance with a wide, overhanging gable. About all that remains on the interior is finishing touches. The biggest job remaining inside is carpeting.

This problem developed because carpet ordered from the east happened to be destroyed in the freight train derailment that occurred cloakroom and to increase the size of the kitchen. A modern concept of decorative treatment has given it a different look. The new, west wing is identical in size to the east wing that was opened six years ago last April. This banquet room, which includes a small service bar, has had an appearance that conforms to the modernization. Ralph B.

Marchildon, owner and manager, said that the cost has exceeded the $50,000 mark. The project was begun in April by Contractor Joe Phelps. Ever since Marchildon acquired the place in the fall of 1952 he has been expanding and updating it until now it has a capacity of more than 300. east of Missoula recently. The bar-lounge and a dining room for medium-sized parties occupy a new, 25-by-70-foot west wing.

The ultra-modern, bar-lounge, pictured above, is finished except for carpeting and a few odds and ends. It includes a small, parquet dance floor. Enough carpet was received to cover the dining room in back which, otherwise, is about completed. The main dining room is being transformed with new decor and furnishings. It has new upholstered booths, and the tables and chairs are new.

Riebes Buy Poison Malt Shop POLSON Mr. and Mrs. Gary Riebe have purchased the Malt Shop in Poison from Mr. and Mrs. Harold Alexander, who have owned and operated the business for the past year.

Riebe is a native of Poison and attended Montana State University for the past two years. He and his wife, Sandra, have three children Becky, 6, Ricky, 4, and Tracey, 2. They are living in the apartment adjacent to the business. Davis Named Blue Bay Manager POLSON Ray Davis of Poison has been named manager of the Blue Bay Resort, according to Directors Stephen DeMers and Leland Schoonover of Poison and Don Aadsen of Ronan. Davis has been in the restaurant-lounge type of work since 1955.

He and his wife, Barbara, and their children are living at the resort. Appointment of Alex Adams as assistant manager and chef at Blue Bay also was announced. Adams has some shoe store is moving to a newly-renovated and much larger building just one door away from the present store. A grand opening at the new location is planned for July 1. Ball and Mrs.

Sandell bought the present store in November 1956 and have added to their line of shoes and will continue to do so in their new location which will give more room for displaying merchandise, also for more storage. Mrs. Sandell and her brother both do ceramic work, which will be featured in one area of the store along with their collection of antiques. Hammond Promoted by Prudential Appointment of Sutton Hammond of Billings as manager of the San Francisco agency of the Prudential Insurance Co. of America has been announced.

He has been manager of the firm's Montana ordinary agencies for the past nine years. Currently, he is president of the Montana Association of Life Underwriters. Hammond's replacement has not been revealed.
